Horne Mazda of Avondale is actively seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer to join our growing service department.

We're looking for a proven dealership service professional who knows how to build customer relationships, write accurate repair orders, recommend needed maintenance and repairs, and deliver an exceptional service experience in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Service Advisor, you'll be the key connection between customers and technicians, helping ensure every vehicle receives the attention and service it needs.

Responsibilities include:

Greet customers and provide a professional, welcoming service experience
Conduct vehicle walkarounds and accurately document customer concerns
Write clear and accurate repair orders
Recommend maintenance and repairs based on vehicle needs
Explain repair recommendations, pricing, and timelines clearly to customers
Coordinate with technicians and monitor repair progress
Keep customers informed throughout the repair process
Identify additional service opportunities while maintaining a customer-first approach
Manage appointments, repair orders, and customer follow-up
Review completed repairs with customers and assist with vehicle delivery
Build lasting customer relationships that generate repeat and referral business
Maintain strong CSI, customer satisfaction, and service department performance

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Previous Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer experience is REQUIRED.

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous automotive dealership Service Advisor experience
Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair
Proven ability to recommend and sell automotive services
Strong understanding of repair orders and technician workflow
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Strong organizational and time-management abilities
Experience with dealership CRM and service software
Ability to manage multiple customers and repair orders in a high-volume environment
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Reliable, motivated, and team-oriented work ethic
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
