We are looking for a Sales Account Manager to manage key customer accounts, develop new business opportunities, and drive sustainable sales growth across the B2B food manufacturing sector. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Account Management
Manage and develop existing customer accounts to achieve sales and revenue targets.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
Understand customer requirements and provide appropriate product and ingredient solutions.
Handle customer enquiries, quotations, negotiations, orders and commercial follow-ups.
Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve issues in collaboration with relevant internal teams.
Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the food manufacturing industry.
Prospect and establish relationships with potential customers, including food manufacturers and food processing companies.
Conduct customer visits, product presentations and business discussions.
Follow up on leads, samples, product trials and sales opportunities through to successful conversion.
Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to support business growth.
Market & Product Development
Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer requirements.
Identify opportunities for new products, applications and market segments.
Work closely with R&D, Technical, QA and other internal teams to support customer product development and application requirements.
Provide regular sales forecasts, market feedback and account updates to management.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
2–5 years of experience in B2B Sales, Account Management or Business Development.
Experience in food ingredients, seasonings, flavours, food additives or specialty ingredients will be highly advantageous.
Experience dealing with food manufacturers, food processing companies or F&B businesses is preferred.
Strong understanding of the B2B sales cycle, including prospecting, customer development, negotiation and closing.
Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Customer-oriented with strong relationship-building abilities.
Self-motivated, commercially driven and able to work independently.
Willing to travel for customer meetings and business development activities when required.
Possession of a valid driving licence and own transportation is preferred.
